Tourism businesses are encouraged to partner up and to engage with Previously...Scotland's History Festival. The festival has produced a new Partner Guide explaining how others can get involved.
This is the largest history festival in the UK. The audiences for 'Previously...' events have grown by 30% year on year since the launch and in 2013 the Festival ran over 18 days, had 237 events and a total audience of 8,572.
Innovations that will continue and expand in 2014 include:
- Scottish History Hub at Adam House with the addition of cool evening events!
- Working with our world class universities through our schools and community programs
- A history career fair
- Working with Scotland's genealogists to create a special Family History Day
- Our geographical expansion to Glasgow, Stirling, Dunfermline, St Andrews, Moffat and the Borders
- A sizable history book festival
- A film season
There will also be poetry, storytelling, theatre, music, talks, debates, walks and tours, visits and discoveries.
