Here’s a taster of what's going on in March in Scotland. There are far too many to mention but this will give you some ideas to pass on to visitors. There's something to appeal to all, from active sports fans to culture lovers.
Sports
Two-day, multi-event Great Glen Paddle is an exciting competition for skilled canoeists, kayakers and paddle boarders to paddle from coast to coast.
And for those passionate about the outdoors there's the Scotland's Best Outdoors exhibition. It's a showcase for what Scotland has to offer, from kite surfing and canyoning to fishing and golf, all under one roof. Try out sports and equipment and talk to experts.
Arts and culture
Glasgow's International Comedy Festival kicks off on 14 March at various venues around the city with some really big names as well as up-and-coming new acts in comedy coming to town. A must-visit for comedy fans.
StAnza Poetry Festival in St. Andrews is a truly international celebration of the art with poets from India, Africa, Jamaica and many others as well as our home-grown talent. It's not just about poetry. There will be dance, cabaret, acrobatics and music as well as hundreds of workshops and talks.
Cuairt, a festival of traditional music performed by students at the Gaelic college on Skye culminating in a ceilidh until the wee small hours. What better way to introduce visitors to Scottish culture?

The Library of Innerpeffray in Crieff – Scotland's first lending library – opens its doors to a unique Innerpeffray Stories Exhibition has a fascinating look back over 300 years of local life.
