North East Tourism Conference

Aberdeen City and Shire Tourism Conference at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre.

Event Date: 07/01/2015 - 29/01/2015

The first tourism conference of 2015 will be the Aberdeen City and Shire Tourism Conference on 28 January 2015.

Now in its second year, the conference which focuses on helping tourism businesses in the North East get the most from visitors and learn the skills required to maximise their business potential, will be held in the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre.

Organisers anticipate over 200 delegates to attend a day of key note speakers, interactive workshops and networking sessions. This year’s keynote speaker has been confirmed as Dr Paul Redmond, a world-renowned expert on generational behaviour. For the first time in industrial history, five generations are rubbing shoulders in the workplace; Dr Redmond will be providing delegates a direct insight into generational research and some of the challenges and opportunities it presents for tourism business owners.

Other keynote speakers are VisitArran chairman and managing director of Taste of Arran, Alastair Dobson, who will discuss the benefits of collaboration in business. Chris McCoy from VisitScotland will talk delegates through how to ensure that their businesses are accessible to everyone. Announcement on the region’s transport links are anticipated from Aberdeen International Airport and Serco NorthLink Ferries.

The conference will also run two in-depth workshops from a programme covering a diverse range of topics including Online Bookings, Accessible Tourism, Social Media, Sustainability & Legislation, Google Analytics and Business Collaboration.

Registration is now open at www.regonline.com/aberdeentourism2015 with tickets just £55 (excluding VAT) to attend the full day conference.
