The Twitter chat #scotfood allows those who live and work in areas across Scotland to host a discussion on Twitter about what’s good, seasonal and local in terms of Scottish food and drink.
Twitter users from anywhere around the world can join in – all they have to do is mention #ScotFood in their Tweet, and answer the questions which the hosts will set.
Questions are usually published 7 days in advance of the chat, allowing people who want to join in to find out what the group is talking about, to prepare their answers, collect some relevant content about the discussion topics and perhaps write a blog post about the items to be discussed.
In order to set questions, the chat looks to the hosts to suggest one or two questions each which they feel will generate discussion and encourage others to join in.
