A series of Scottish food and food tourism Twitter chats using the hashtag #ScotFood to participate has been set up by Edinburgh based accommodation provider and business owner Susan McNaughton, together with the support of Fife Food Ambassador Christopher Trotter.

The monthly Twitter chats aim to encourage those who grow, produce, prepare, use and enjoy Scottish food to meet and tweet once a month. The aim is to find new opportunities to work together and to promote the diversity of Scotland’s natural larder.

The group hopes that the chats will become a regular way of meeting and working with a wider group of people who share an interest in Scottish food and Scottish food tourism and already have chat dates set for 2014.

Each monthly chat has a number of regional hosts, who tweet a set of pre-prepared questions for discussion. Access the questions and more information here or tweet @SusanMcNaughton or @CTScotfood or check out the hashtag #scotfood on Twitter.

Glasgow, Central Scotland and Clyde Valley host this final scotfood chat of the year - please check with the organisers for 2014 dates.
