ETAG Technology Conference 2015 Haggis Adventures

Video interview with the General Manager of Haggis Adventures

In this video, Pete Duncan, General Manager at Haggis Adventures in Edinburgh, talks about what he has learnt from the Edinburgh Tourism Action Group (ETAG) Technology Solutions for Tourism Conference 2015 and what he hopes to bring back to his business.

The event which is now its fifth year brings technology and tourism businesses together to identify opportunities to use technology to ensure they meet the changing expectations of Scotland’s digital tourist.

Pete Duncan explains how attending the ETAG conference has given him some fresh, new ideas for Haggis Adventures. He said:

“The conference is great for Haggis Adventures because we work in the youth sector and so are at the forefront of innovation. It has been great to meet new people and hear about ways to improve the visitor experience through technology.

“It’s easy for tourism businesses to just engage within the tourism industry, but by interacting with digital businesses and looking to the future, we are able to mix technology and tourism.

“Customer service is vital, it’s crucial that we keep up to speed with what visitors are expecting. The event gives a different perspective on what we do on a day to day basis, it is fantastic”.
