Date : 18/06/2014

An Argyllshire cooperative, Food From Argyll (FFA), bringing together the best of the region's natural larder, is to provide the food at BBC at the Quay and will also be present at Glasgow Green's Scottish Food and Drink Village as part of Festival 2014.

BBC at the Quay is part of the corporation's year-long festival celebrating the arrival of the Games in Glasgow.  Food From Argyll will cater for this key site, BBC at the Quay, located outside BBC Scotland's headquarters in Glasgow over the Games period.

A wide and varied menu encompassing all tastes and thirsts will showcase the delights of Argyll's produce, with a menu to whet the appetite comprising locally sourced ingredients including a distinguished pallet from Loch Fyne seafood, wild reared game, beef, lamb and pork.

As well as dairy produce of artisan cheeses, puddings and shortbread, there will also be expertly roasted coffee for those fancying a brew. A core range of dishes will be supplemented by a selection of daily specials, introducing influences and flavours from around the Commonwealth.

Open and bright-eyed for breakfast at eight until late and wide-eyed at midnight hour, Food From Argyll will be serving throughout the day from Saturday 19th July until Monday 3rd August at BBC at the Quay.

Across the city, Food From Argyll will also have a presence at the Scottish Food and Drink Village on Glasgow Green as one of a number of Live Zones at Festival 2014, featuring Loch Fyne seafood, Churchill Venison, MacKays Stovies and Home Ground Coffee.
