People Make Glasgow Channel Launches on VisitBritain TV

Glasgow City Marketing Bureau (GCMB) has recently announced the launch of a PEOPLE MAKE GLASGOW channel and new collection of vibrant destination films in partnership with VisitBritain TV.

Glasgow City Marketing Bureau (GCMB) has recently announced the launch of a PEOPLE MAKE GLASGOW channel and new collection of vibrant destination films in partnership with VisitBritain TV.

The dedicated channel takes its name from the city's new and award-winning brand, PEOPLE MAKE GLASGOW. The films on the channel will showcase Glasgow's credentials as a must-visit destination and will be promoted internationally via VisitBritain TV's online global tourism network.

The site - developed, hosted and managed by Geocast TV - receives around six million unique users each month from across 215 countries and is particularly popular with visitors in the USA, Canada, Australia, China, Germany, France and India.

The films, which include a snapshot of the city's 2014 Commonwealth Games preparations, a presenter-led itinerary and a short destination summary, highlight Glasgow's wealth of cultural attractions, world-class architecture and design, fantastic shopping and year-round programme of exciting events and festivals which span the worlds of sport, culture, music, film, theatre and art.
