Edinburgh and The Lothians Attractions Receive Boost in New Guide

Visitor attractions across Edinburgh, Midlothian, East Lothian and West Lothian will get a boost this year in VisitScotland???s new area guide, featuring Rosslyn Chapel on the front cover.

Date : 20/05/2014

VisitScotland’s ‘What to See and Do’ guide was launched by the national tourism organisation’s Chief Executive, Malcolm Roughead, when he enjoyed a tour of the four star visitor attraction during a recent visit.

Rosslyn Chapel remains an incredibly popular visitor attraction, drawing around 145,000 visitors in 2013. The visitor centre, added in 2011, has proven successful, with plans to develop upon its use and hopes of securing a five star award in the near future.

2014 is the first full year that visitors can enjoy the building’s full splendour without scaffolding, following the completion of a major conservation project which began last September.

Approximately 65,000 copies of the 74-page guide will be distributed to UK and overseas markets, with the A4, full colour glossy pages including sections on attractions and events in the City of Edinburgh, West Lothian, Midlothian and East Lothian.

The guide contains useful information and inspiration together with fantastic imagery to encourage visitors to book a break in the area this Homecoming Scotland year.

A digital version of the guide is available online here.
