The research has a specific focus on the size and volume of the market and the performance of meeting venues, and also highlights key market trends identified by venues.

Date : 07/04/2014

Business Tourism for Scotland has sponsored a Scotland supplement to the Eventia-IVCA ‘UK Events Market Trends Survey 2014’ (UKEMTS) – which carries out and reports on important research into the business events market, now in its 21st consecutive year.

The research project has a specific focus on the size and volume of the market and the performance of meeting venues. It also highlights key market trends identified by venues. Results will be published in June 2014. Supporting organisations for 2014 include VisitScotland and Glasgow City Marketing Bureau.

Scottish venues are encouraged to support this important research by completing the short questionnaire (see link below) to report on the conference and events business held at their venues in 2013.

A strong response rate is essential to provide the robust evidence base that is needed to inform the growth of business tourism in Scotland.

To complete the questionnaire, please click here.

All reporting venues shall receive a complimentary, personalised report benchmarking their performance against other similar venues – they will also be able to purchase the published report at a substantial discount.

The information each business supplies will be treated in full confidence and only aggregated information based on all reporting venues will be published.
