Date : 29/10/2013

Homecoming Scotland 2014 is backed up by a whole host of resources, designed to make your participation more fruitful and more exciting. Most useful of all, you can get all the help you need for free.

The best starting place is the Homecoming Toolkit from VisitScotland. There you’ll find an overview of the Homecoming concept – about selling Scotland to your clients, and telling them all about the great events happening in 2014.

You’ll find great resources such as an exciting image bank of top-class photography – which you can use to promote Homecoming in your own marketing.

There’s even a link to the Homecoming promotional video 'Scotland welcomes the world' – why not add it to your own website – it’s really easy to do, and you can have a totally dynamic sixty seconds of favourite places and faces showcasing Scotland to your clients.

There’s plenty happening online too – so get your voice out there. Engage with Homecoming social media. You can find links to all the active feeds at the Homecoming homepage.

There’s so much happening in Scotland next year, that it’s infectious - The Ryder Cup, the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games, and hundreds of other events from New Year’s Day through to Hogmanay.

There’s still time to really make the most of Homecoming, but now is the time to act.  It’s easy to do things like simply remembering to mention Homecoming to clients, promoting local events and promoting the whole year to potential customers.
