Games Partners launch toolkit for tourism businesses to show support for Glasgow 2014

Scotland???s tourism businesses are invited to play their part in the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.

Scotland’s tourism businesses are being officially invited to play their part in the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games next year.

Under the banner “2014: Our Games, Our Welcome” Scotland’s thousands of tourism and hospitality businesses will be able to download and make use of four different coloured logos as well as online banners to show their support for the Games, and to show that they are ready to welcome visitors to Scotland’s biggest ever sporting event.

The specially developed Games Tourism Toolkit includes advice on wording for marketing materials as well as how businesses can show support through their social media channels.

The toolkit is not just confined to businesses within Glasgow, with all of the country’s industry being encouraged to get on board for the Games.

The toolkit and the information contained within it is has been developed through a collaboration between Glasgow 2014, VisitScotland and Glasgow City Marketing Bureau (GCMB), the main tourism partners for the UK’s next big sporting event.

The toolkit includes full access to the downloadable assets and will be updated as more information emerges. It also includes key dates and milestones that may be of interest to tourism businesses in the run-up to Games time.
