Looking for business tourism local heroes

Nominate your own business or a Scottish business tourism business you admire to take part in new 'local hero' business sessions at this year's Scottish Business Tourism Conference

Date : 14/08/2013

Nominate your own business or a Scottish business tourism business that you admire to take part in the 'local heroes' sessions at the 2013 edition of the Scottish Business Tourism Conference.

The conference takes place on 11 November 2013, in the Clyde Auditorium at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre, Glasgow.

Business tourism local heroes - the search is on

Part of the conference has been put aside for local businesses to share what they have been doing to make their business better and more profitable with fellow operators.

Who will be a business tourism local hero?

There are six slots for business tourism local heroes and the conference would like Scottish based business tourism companies to deliver six sessions to cover the following subjects:

  • Collaboration/working in partnership
  • Creating new products and services, and innovation
  • People development and training
  • Social media
  • Sustainability
  • A theme you think would be of interest to the Business Tourism Scotland audience

The business tourism local heroes session will take place between 1.15pm and 2.30pm.

In and around the lunch areas there will be presentation pods which will have six businesses sharing their innovations and stories. Each business will give a ten minutes to share what they are doing, and will allow ten minutes for questions.

Delegates may attend three out of six sessions.
